Now that the pre-launch hype and hoopla have passed, how do Apple iPhone 3GS and Palm Pre users feel about their devices? According to a ChangeWave Research survey conducted Aug. 4-11, 82 percent of new iPhone 3GS users said they were "very satisfied" with the device and 17 percent said they were "somewhat satisfied." The survey also found that 45 percent of Pre users were "very satisfied" with their handset, while 42 percent said they were "somewhat satisfied." While the Pre's "very satisfied" rating was lower than the iPhone's, ChangeWave noted that the ratings were very high for a new product release, and that Apple and Research In Motion are the only other smartphone makers to attain such high "very satisfied" ratings.
