Updated: T-Mobile ends promotional pricing for customers who don't trade in phones and buy iPhone 6s and 6s Plus

T-Mobile US (NYSE:TMUS) tweaked some of its pricing for Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPhone 6s and 6s Plus through its "Jump! On Demand" phone leasing program and will now charge more than it had been if customers do not trade in a device as part of buying one of the new iPhones.

iPhone 6s and 6s Plus

When it started selling the new iPhones last month, T-Mobile said customers could get a 16 GB iPhone 6s for $20 per month in device payments under the program, and could get a 16 GB iPhone 6s Plus for $24 per month in device payments. That limited-time offer ended Oct. 11, a change first spotted by TMoNews. Now, customers who do not trade in a phone will pay $27 per month for a 16 GB iPhone 6s and $31 for a 16 GB iPhone 6s Plus.

"Our limited-time promotion for $20 for an iPhone 6s without trade-in expired on Sunday, but we are still offering $5 with trade in of an iPhone 6 or other newer model phone," T-Mobile said in a statement to FierceWireless

Indeed, if customers trade in an iPhone 6, 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ or Note 5, they can walk out the door with a 16 GB iPhone 6s and pay $5 per month in leasing payments, or $9 per month for a 16 GB iPhone 6s Plus.

Before if customers traded in an iPhone 5s, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy S5 and other similar devices, they would pay $10 per month in leasing payments for the 16 GB iPhone 6s, but that price has now gone up to $15 per month when those devices are traded in. For the iPhone 6s Plus, that change has resulted in a price jump from $14 to $19 per month.
