T-Mobile USA has launched its brand in the former SunCom markets in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Former SunCom customers can now access T-Mobile's nationwide U.S. network and customer service. In addition, former SunCom stores have been re-launched as T-Mobile stores.

T-Mobile acquired SunCom in February for about $2.4 billion in cash and debt.
