T-Mobile USA launches BlackBerry flip phone

T-Mobile USA officially launched Research In Motion's BlackBerry Pearl 8820 flip phone today, which is RIM's first flip phone. 

The 3.6 ounce, quad-band Edge phone retains many of the features that have made RIM's phones unique, as well as some of its own bells and whistles, including WiFi calling capabilities, SureType text messaging for instant messaging and email, stereo Bluetooth and a 2 megapixel camera.

The phone is priced at $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a two-year service contract with T-Mobile, $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a one-year contract and is retailing for $349.99.
