T-Mobile USA launches new Shadow, Nokia 7510

T-Mobile USA launched two new phones, growing its smartphone lineup with the new, revamped Shadow, as well as a Nokia flip phone, the 7510.

The Shadow is an HTC-manufactured quad-band world phone that will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 (an upgrade from the previous version's 6.0), and has an EDGE data connection. The chief feature of the updated version is that it has unlimited nationwide calling capability via WiFi through T-Mobile's HotSpot Calling program, previously called Hotspot@Home. The phone also features a 2-megapixel camera, a faster processor (260 MHz) and multi-platform instant messaging. The phone is being sold for $149.99 with a two-year contract and a qualifying data plan.

T-Mobile also launched the Nokia 7510, a fairly basic quad-band GSM/EDGE flip phone. The phone has a 2-megapixel camera, FM radio and Bluetooth 2.0. It is being sold for $49.99 with a two-year contract.
