Trend: Wireless phone advertising has promise

According to an In-Stat study, 20 percent of cellphone users said some form of mobile advertising would be acceptable, though none were ecstatic about the concept. Half of those who said they would find such advertising acceptable were open to having advertisers subsidize the cost of premium services like directory assistance, ringtones, and messaging. One-third of all respondents cited high prices as their reason for not signing up for those premium services.
