Verizon acknowledges Skype WiFi glitch on Android phones

Skype Verizon WiFi android glitchesVerizon Wireless heavily promoted its deal with Skype to bring the Internet calling firm's application to Verizon smartphones. However, the nation's largest wireless carrier has run into a bit of a technical issue with the service: Verizon customers who have Android phones are not able to run the Skype Mobile app while they have WiFi turned on. The problem does not affect customers who have Research In Motion's BlackBerry devices, Verizon told Connected Planet. The carrier said it is working with Google, Skype and handset vendors to find a fix. Article
