RIM's Storm will be exclusive on Verizon, Vodafone

Tools

One of the worst kept secrets just became official. Verizon Wireless and Vodafone will both "exclusively" offer Research in Motion's BlackBerry Storm touchscreen device to Verizon customers in the U.S. and Vodafone customers in Europe, India, Australia and New Zealand. But two critical pieces of information are still unknown: the launch date and the price. These key details are supposed to be available in the coming weeks.

However, that hasn't stopped the device from creating more buzz in the marketplace. The Storm, which has a touchscreen with a keyboard layout, will come equipped with EV-DO Rev. A, UMTS/HSPA and quad-band Edge/GPRS/GSM making it a true world phone. The device also offers full HTML browsing, and has a 3.2 megapixel camera and built-in GPS.
