Verizon Wireless launches the EV-DO RAZR2

Tools

Verizon Wireless announced that it would begin selling the EV-DO version of the RAZR2 handset, the V9m, which will retail at $299.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate, next month.

Back in May, Motorola unveiled its RAZR2 line of handsets: which included versions V8, V9 and V9m. The V8 handset is a quad-band GSM/EDGE phone that uses a Motorola Linux interface. The V9 is the 3G HSDPA model that uses Motorola's Synergy UI. The V9m is the CDMA EV-DO handset that also makes use of the Synergy UI. The external touch sensitive keys on the device feature "haptics" or tactile feedback (vibrations) when pushed.
