Verizon Wireless settles suit with Acacia

Verizon Wireless has settled with Acacia Research Corporation's subsidiary Contacts Synchronization Corporation over a patent infringement lawsuit filed in Wisconsin in May. While terms of the agreement were confidential, the case centered on electronic address list management technology. The carrier settled without admitting any liability. Other defendants in the case include AT&T Mobility, Cingular Wireless and T-Mobile USA.
