Verizon Wireless spent $3.9M on lobbying

Verizon Wireless spent $3.9 million on lobbying during during 2007. The carrier lobbied on issues that included patent reform, spectrum auctions, the digital television transition, interoperability between public safety agencies, Internet tax issues and the importation of wireless chipsets. Verizon Wireless spent $1.8 million of the total during the second half of 2007, according to lobbyist disclosure forms filed with the Senate. The carrier lobbied Congress, the Commerce Department, U.S. Trade Representative's office, the White House and other agencies.
