Winners of Google's Android Developer Challenge
Google announced the 50 winning applications for its Android Developer Challenge. The first round ended with 50 applications, earning their developers $25,000 each. Of the 50, only 46 chose to have their names published, while the remaining four plan to toil away in secrecy. Next up: Round 2, which ends in late July. Twenty of these 50 will get more cash prizes: 10 get $150,000 and 10 get $275,000.

Nothing wow about any of them. I was hoping to see some shocking ideas. Thats what we are doing for the iPhone.

Let the dumb Google employees do this. Why are they throwing some cheap money to get these things done by so many in the world and picking their brains and using that as a Google product. I'm sure Goog employees couldn't have come up with the above mentioned products on their own.

Nobody is really on mobile wireless. It seems Google's Android is only for kiddy fun without any serious business value.
I bet it is going to die soon.
