Zune's wireless functionalities explained
A Microsoft employee was kind enough to explain the wireless capabilities of its new Zune personal media player. The list diffuses much of the hype that has been circulating the Internet in recent months.
The Zune can:
- search for and find other nearby Zunes
- send songs back after a three day or three "listens" trial run
- send and receive image files
The Zune can't:
- connect to the Internet
- download songs from the Zune store via WiFi
- sync to a computer via WiFi
That hissing sound is the Zune bubble bursting. For more on the PMP:

I just got my zune on Dec 19th. I have had no issues sync my Zune via Wi-Fi. I am able to make changes on my laptop then sync it with my Zune. I do however have it set to my network at home and have added the Mac Address to the Mac filter on the wireless router.. Thanks
