Soon AT&T Mobility customers will be able to receive a call on their Apple Watch even if they don't have their iPhone nearby. The carrier is trialing its "NumberSync" technology in the latest beta version of iOS. The technology lets customers share their primary phone number with other connected devices even if their phone isn't connected to a cellular network.
Sprint said its Apple iPhone customers will be able to get access to enhanced Wi-Fi calling features that will let them make and receive calls from multiple Apple devices with a single number. Thanks to the iOS 9.1 software update, Sprint's iPhone customers can take calls to their iPhone on an iPad, iPod Touch, Apple Watch or even their Mac.
Apple today announced its new iPad Pro, which features a 12.9-inch screen, bigger than the company's existing tablet devices. The company is positioning the device as a high-end tablet for workers and other professionals. Importantly, the company is only including cellular capabilities on the 128 GB version of the device, which potentially could cut into sales of the cellular-capable iPad Pro.

Apple posted a blowout holiday quarter with sales of 74.5 million iPhones and $18 billion in net profit. The results were way above forecasts from most Wall Street analysts. "We'd like to thank our customers for an incredible quarter, which saw demand for Apple products soar to an all-time high," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. "Our revenue grew 30 percent over last year to $74.6 billion, and the execution by our teams to achieve these results was simply phenomenal."
According to a new Reuters report, Apple is hiring a dedicated sales force and working with application developers in the area, an effort by the company to ratchet up its push into the mobile enterprise market following a deal in July with corporate powerhouse IBM.
