In-Booth Demo Highlights Work with Verizon Innovation Program

BURLINGTON, Mass. – January 8, 2013 – Wing Power Energy, the developer of the world's most efficient micro wind vertical turbine, will be demonstrating in the Verizon Wireless booth (South Hall, #31400) at the International Consumer Electronics Show from January 8-11 in Las Vegas, NV.

The relationship with Verizon Wireless is a collaboration fostered at the Verizon Innovation Center in Waltham, MA.  The Innovation Center was designed to inspire, enable and showcase new innovations that tap the power of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.  Together, the companies are looking at new and innovative ways to deliver wireless services in places where traditional power may not be available.

A live demonstration in the City of Salem, MA consists of three hybrid wind/solar turbines on the rooftop of a municipal parking garage powering 4G LTE enabled Verizon wireless equipment including two video surveillance cameras, one digital signboard and a complete wireless network, completely off grid and running only on the power generated by the turbines.
