Verizon Wireless appears to be preparing to give its MVNOs access to its LTE network, according to people familiar with the matter. Verizon's MVNOs, including TracFone Wireless' Page Plus Cellular and Selectel Wireless, currently are only able to connect to Verizon's CDMA 3G network.
Now there are four major ISPs being paid by Netflix to speed its over-the-top streaming video to subscribers. Time Warner Cable has signed an interconnection agreement with the SVOD service, similar to Netflix's earlier deals with AT&T, Verizon and Comcast.
Sprint continued to post the highest latency speeds in LTE transmissions. This is likely due to the current configuration of Sprint's LTE network, which generally relies on a 5x5 MHz configuration while other carriers use 10x10 MHz or even 20x20 MHz settings.
