The Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association, or CWTA, represents the breadth of the telecommunications industry in the country, “promot(ing) the industry with the goal of ensuring continued growth of the wireless sector in Canada.” The work spans industry research, consumer initiatives, research and reporting, and much more.
In his leadership role, Robert Ghiz has the unique role of furthering the telecommunications sector in a geographically and socially diverse country, whilst building strong relationships in government and within the industry itself and building a strong case for new technology and evolution such as 5G. As Canada moves further into the 5G era, the CWTA notes that the telecom sector directly contributes nearly CAD $75 billion to Canada’s GDP.
