6waves Lolapps launches $10M mobile and social gaming developer fund

Social game publisher and developer 6waves Lolapps unveiled the 6L Fund, a $10 million initiative to fuel innovation in mobile and social gaming development. In addition to financial support, the 6L Fund will offer developers access to the 6waves Lolapps suite of publishing services and developer tools, including cross-promotion, funded user acquisition, product management, localization and hosting efforts. Developers will also enjoy access to the Flash-based Fliso Game Engine, which enables the creation of 3D gaming environments.

Developers seeking 6L Fund support may submit games written for Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS and Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android as well as the Facebook and OpenSocial APIs. Click here to submit applications for review.

6waves and Lolapps merged their respective social gaming businesses in July 2011. The combined network now attracts 40 million gamers each month.
