AdMob updates SDKs for iPhone, Android

LAS VEGAS--Mobile advertising network AdMob announced updated editions of its iPhone and Android software development kits as well as a new SDK optimized for Adobe Systems' Flash Lite multimedia platform, promising developers expanded tools to monetize their mobile traffic. According to AdMob, the new iPhone SDK boasts performance enhancements and additional server-side flexibility, while the Android SDK includes rich media ad units like expandable canvas and multi-panel banner. The Flash Lite SDK beta meanwhile supports monetization with CPC text ads. In addition, AdMob touted a new adaptive mobile unit with banners that remain a constant sizes smartphone users pinch and scroll through websites created for PC screens.
