Asian developers team with Intel for Medinux OS

Korean software developer Haansoft, part of the so-called "Asianux" consortium uniting software firms in Korea, China, Japan, and Vietnam, announced at last week's Intel Developer Forum in Taiwan, that participating member companies are in collaboration with Intel to develop an Asianux-based mobile OS. The Linux-based OS, dubbed Asianux Mobile Medinux Edition or Medinux, will reportedly make its international debut early next year--reports suggest it will arrive via various mobile Internet devices across Intel's Menlow platform. Asianux members have established a Medinux research center in Beijing, with technology support centers in Seoul, Beijing, and Tokyo.
