Sports media giant ESPN launched its Developer Center, a new online resource enabling developers to build mobile and 
web applications integrating ESPN content and data. ESPN Developer Center touts the Headlines API, enabling developers to leverage hundreds of unique daily news stories spanning dozens of sports and hundreds of teams and athletes, as well as a Research Notes API giving partners access to exclusive sports facts and figures compiled by the ESPN Stats and Information Group. Select ESPN Developer Center beta partners can access additional data sets including a Scores and Schedules API providing start times, venues, competitors, scores and stats across all major sports, as well as APIs delivering standings, team and athlete information.
