Flurry kicks off Game Acceleration Program for iOS and Android

Mobile application audience insight provider Flurry introduced its Game Acceleration Program, offering iOS and Android developers a suite of resources spanning from app creation to marketing. According to Flurry, the Game Acceleration Program includes analytics, game design and development aid as well as financing, distribution and marketing assistance--in exchange for its support, Flurry does not seek to own a title's intellectual property rights, but does ask that developers agree to leverage its AppCircle application recommendation network until recouping agreed-upon costs. Flurry general manager of games Jeferson Valadares, who previously spearheaded development teams at firms including Electronic Arts, Playfish and Digital Chocolate, will lead the Game Acceleration Program.

Flurry introduced AppCircle in beta in late 2009. The cross-selling network promises developers a new channel to promote and monetize their software, leveraging an intelligent recommendation engine in tandem with Flurry analytics data to select and serve targeted applications based on aggregated usage. Flurry AppCircle now reaches over 40 million active consumers each day across iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and J2ME. In all, the firm tracks over 10 billion anonymous, aggregated end-user application sessions each month.
