Fudging the numbers in wireless reports

Dean Bubley has identified some of the common tricks used to manipulate data in reports and press releases. Some of my favorite tricks: equating mobile penetration (which requires one phone per person) with broadband penetration (which only requires one connection per household), ignoring users with multiple phones or SIM cards and counting testers, journalists, developers and competitors as "customers" of your mobile app. Blog
