Hands-On Mobile Developer Network beta released

Connected games and applications developer Hands-On Mobile announced the beta release of its Hands-On Mobile Developer Network, promising a one-step mobilization solution for developers to create, distribute and monetize applications across the majority of mobile device platforms and operating systems. According to Hands-On, rich application creation on the network requires only server-side XML development, with apps developed on the HDN working across hundreds of handsets from low-end feature phones to smartphones. In addition, the HDN offers developers the tools to regularly update their apps post-launch. Coders may register here.

Hands-On adds it is poised to introduce mixt, a new application discovery and on-deck channel for HDN developers that enables users to organize and aggregate their favorite mobile services and social networking applications as well as seek out new content. New content created on the HDN will be published into the mixt directory, giving consumers the choice to personalize their mobile experiences via the latest applications. Developers can promote their products virally through widgets, SMS messages and the mixt website.
