iWebTrack launches iPhone app development contest

Web analytics provider iWebTrack announced the introduction of its iPhone Application Development Competition, launched in conjunction with its Open iWeb community, which the firm created to nurture development of mobile applications around its analytics API for third-party coders. According to iWebTrack, Open iWeb offers public access to raw analytics data, promising developers the tools to create customizable mobile application usage reports as well as a platform for software development. The iPhone Application Development Competition, which runs from March 9 to May 1, requires contestants to develop an iPhone web tracking application designed specifically for iWebTrack; submissions will be judged based on ease of use, features offered, GUI, ease of navigation, level of performance and overall application speed. iWebTrack will announce the winner on May 15 and award them a $5,000 grand prize.
