Nokia unveils new N-Series, TV phone

Nokia has unveiled several new N-series phones, most notably the N92 a "TV phone" that looks like a tiny portable DVD player. The N92 has an integrated DVB-H tuner and Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). The idea with UPnP is that your phone could relay streaming video to your TV or music to your stereo. It's a key feature of the so-called "digital living room" (which hopefully doesn't go the way of the "paper-less office"). The N92 will cost about $730 and should be available mid-2006--about the same time that Nokia predicts the US will begin rolling out DVB-H. Nokia also unveiled the N80, a Series 60 slider phone with a 3-MP camera, and the N71, a music-oriented Series 60 flip phone. Pictures
