Symbian has finally announced version 9.3 of its smartphone OS. The upgraded OS includes improved memory management, a shorter start-up time, native WiFi support, firmware OTA (FOTA), push-to-talk and many other improvements. Symbian 9.3 also offers developer much tighter integration with Eclipse and is backwards compatible with existing code. According to a Symbian Q&A, pre-release editions of the OS are already available to licensees and the final product will be available later this month.
