US government weighs in on RIM case

One of BlackBerry's biggest fans was granted a voice in the RIM-NTP case: the US government. The Department of Justice yesterday filed papers with the court stating that in the interest of public safety, BlackBerry service must not be cut off to thousands of government officials. It is estimated that the US government owns 10 percent of all BlackBerry devices.
