Mobile GPS solutions provider uLocate Communications announced the winners of its WHERE Developer Contest. The WHERE Developer Program and a panel of industry experts honored GPS applications Yokel (a location-enabled shopping portal), Proxido (which enables users to organize their lives via task lists of geographically-placed reminders) and CellSoul (which calculates the precise timing of the five daily Muslim prayers based on a user's current physical coordinates) with cash prizes and an audience with venture capital firms. All three winning applications are now available on the WHERE mobile GPS widget platform.
