ABC, BBC sign deal to deliver news via Internet

Broadcast giants ABC News and BBC will make about 40 video news clips available daily in the US and Canada for Internet and mobile phone subscribers, a Dow Jones report said.

The report said BBC News producers will choose segments on top world and UK news, along with topical items such as entertainment, business and technology news.

ABC however did not say when it will begin offering the clips, the Dow Jones report said.

The Dow Jones report quoted a company spokesperson as saying that ABC is 'still in the process of considering its options.'

BBC and ABC would not disclose financial terms of the deal, the Dow Jones report said.
