Android's dominance of the smart device market may have peaked as competition from rival operating systems increases. ABI Research said the Google operating system had a market share of 53 per cent in 2014, but predicted the OS will see a CAGR of 10 per cent between 2014 and 2019. In contrast, Mozilla's Firefox OS is tipped to experience a CAGR of 29 per cent and Chrome 26 per cent over the forecast period.
