Lenovo continued to increase its share of worldwide branded tablet shipments during the third quarter of 2014, although Apple is expected to reverse a nine-month slide in the fourth quarter because its next-generation iPad Air and iPad mini models started shipping in October. According to ABI Research, early vendor shipment share estimates indicate that Apple and Samsung accounted for a combined 62 per cent of the nearly 36 million branded tablets in the third quarter of 2014.
