Aircom taps Alwyn Welch as its new chief exec

Aircom International has appointed Alwyn Welch as its new CEO. Aircom chairman John Hughes, who has been acting CEO, will remain involved in day-to-day operations and transfer overall responsibility to Alwyn in the coming weeks.
 
Welch commenced immediately and assumed overall leadership of Aircom's senior management team. His remit is to strengthen the firm’s product and consultancy services portfolio, including driving the evolution of its I-VIEW framework.
 
Welch comes to Aircom with more than 30 years experience with major public and private companies in the telecommunications and IT sectors, including Parity Group, Unisys, Logica and Capgemini.
