Alcatel-Lucent has signed an agreement to acquire ReachView Technologies, one of the largest service assurance consulting and integration firms in North America. Financial details were not disclosed.
In a statement, Alcatel-Lucent said the acquisition will improve its professional services consulting practice, specifically, OSS/BSS and software integration, enabling the company to deliver advanced service assurance solutions to carriers, industry and public sector customers.
With approximately 85 employees, ReachView Technologies has offices in Atlanta and Dallas.
Alcatel-Lucent's service assurance solution provides tools to ensure that end-user services provided by a carrier or enterprise are always available and perform to satisfy service level agreements and quality of service performance levels.
The tools monitor performance, availability and quality of experience, detect possible failures while at the same time assessing services and any impact on users' experience.
Alcatel-Lucent says that through ReachView it will be able to provide a complete consulting practice that will help operators isolate, prioritise and resolve network and server issues faster, through root cause isolation and resolution management.
