Alcatel Lucent scores 19th LTE trial

France's Bouygues Telecom has chosen Alcatel-Lucent as its technology partner in its first LTE trial.
 
Alcatel-Lucent will be the sole supplier and network integrator for 1800 MHz band field trials, which are expected to begin in 2010 at a number of sites in western France.
 
It is Alcatel-Lucent’s 19th LTE customer trials to date. The vendor was most recently selected by SingTel for its LTE trials set to begin in the first half of 2010.
 
For the Bouygues deployment Alcatel-Lucent will supply its end-to-end LTE solution, comprising base stations, evolved packet core and management system, professional services.
