Analyst: Motorola Solutions will benefit from Psion acquisition

Motorola Solutions' purchase of UK-based Psion for $200 million (€154 million) earlier this year will start to bolster Motorola's enterprise unit, where sales have recently lost momentum, according to Technology Business Research. Psion, which generated revenues of $273 million (€210.4 million) in 2011, will also benefit Motorola geographically, due to its EMEA-centric customer base. Most of Motorola's customers, in contrast, are concentrated in North America. Psion's ruggedized handheld devices also fit well with Motorola's current vertical focus, according to TBR. Release
