Apple hit by consumer worries

Shares in Apple fell almost 20% on Monday. According to the Financial Times, this was their steepest fall since January. It was caused as concerns about the fall-out from the financial crisis spread to the consumer technology sector.

Understand - Apple does not seem to be suffering, it's just that analysts are worried it might.

In September, Apple repackaged some of its iPods and cut the price of others in time for the shopping period before Christmas.
