Australia's Telstra posts rise in fixed-line revenues

Telstra, Australia's largest phone company, had arrested a long-running decline in fixed-line phone revenues in the first quarter of its fiscal year, a Reuters report said.

The Reuters report quoted Telstra CEO Sol Trujillo as saying that the carrier's high-margin, retail fixed line revenue showed a small positive in the three months to September, compared with a decline of 2.5% in the six months to June and a 5.6% decline in the six months to December 2006.
