Alcatel-Lucent's Bell Labs research organisation has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy's Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI).
This MOU provides a framework for the two parties to cooperate in R&D projects into critical technology areas of comms.
This planned joint research is expected to focus on optical comms and network applications, wireless technologies, networks and applications, and studies in the enabling sciences, including mathematics, computer science and physics.
