Telecom Italia Sparkle [TIS] and Bharti Telesoft, an Indian provider in VAS services for mobile operators, have entered into a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop a new prepaid roaming hub solution for mobile operators to meet the growing demand of recharge services for roamers globally.
The prepaid roaming hub solution enables prepaid roamers to recharge their accounts while roaming on a third party operator's network. It also provides an International Airtime Transfer service that allows 200 million migrant workers worldwide to top-up of friends' and family members' mobile talk-time in their home country.
TIS and Bharti Telesoft are committed to maintaining the scorching pace of progress to enable service launch by Q2 2009.
Meanwhile Bharti Telesoft has launched Musica, an application that it says allows mobile operators to deliver mobile music with quick-to-access and simple-to-navigate format.
