Black Tuesday for T-Mobile as network fails

T-Mobile national network collapsed across most of Germany yesterday. The network went down at around 4 pm, leaving most of DT\'s 39.1 million domestic mobile customers without their phone and text services in much of the country, DW-World.de reports.

A T-Mobile spokesperson in Bonn said just after 8 pm two of the three servers responsible for allocating phone numbers to corresponding SIM cards had gone down. They said the reason for the malfunction was unknown, but the company would work through the night to restore services and investigate the cause.
