Boy programmer eyes Guinness record

A six-year-old Bangladeshi boy is bidding to become the youngest, and first, programmer listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Wasik Farhan-Roopkotha began using his parent's PC at the age of two and is today a competent programmer of games emulators and has learned some of the C++ language, despite never receiving outside tuition.

Local IT companies are reportedly impressed with Wasik's talent, which his parents hope will earn him the Guinness accolade.
