BSNL taps HCL, Clarity

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has awarded HCL a major contract to provide it with a highly scaleable OSS solution in the form of inventory management, provisioning and fault management to support all its voice services.


HCL's contract covers India's Southern and Eastern zones, providing support for a subscriber base of 20 million.


Working with Clarity, HCL will deliver a tightly integrated provisioning, inventory and fault management solution, allowing BSNL to build unparalleled services levels to its customer base.


The majority of subscribers will benefit immediately from the new platform, aligning BSNL's business model on customer line, rather than on individual product and service offerings.
