BT buys UK online directory for €25.1m

BT announced the acquisition of Ufindus, an online driectories company based in Lancaster in the UK.

The acquisition, worth 20 million pounds (€25.1 million), strengthens BT's position in the classified advertising and directories business, the company, quoted by a Telecomworldwire report, said.

Ufindus reportedly has around 20,000 small and medium sized business customers across the UK and 1.9 million online directory listings. Ufindus publishes 3 generalist search directories (SmileLocal, MoreUK and Ufindus) and more than one hundred specialist niche directories.

BT Directories has recently launched BT Exchanges, an online directory service.

The purchase price is subject to adjustments for net debt and working capital.
