CCS Insight: Wearables and connected home among dominant themes at CES

CCS Insight set out its expectations for International CES 2016, with wearables, augmented and virtual reality, the connected home, Internet of Things (IoT) and drones expected to feature heavily in Las Vegas this week. The research and analyst company expects to see a "further avalanche of new wearable devices", for example, while virtual reality is set to be one of the hot technology areas. In the area of the connected home, the company said it expects a strong showcase from Samsung under its SmartThings brand. Drones will once again be big news, but CCS Insight said this remains a controversial technology category that's suffered from growing concerns about safety and privacy. Release
