Rohde & Schwarz has come out with a solutions package that includes the Vector Signal Generator R&S SMJ100A and the compact Spectrum Analyzer R&S FSL, a complete measurement solution for WiMAX applications.
According to the company, internal options allow the performance of tests in accordance with the IEEE 802.16-2004 and IEEE 802.16e-2005 standards. By using the Digital Standard WiMAX R&S SMJ-K49 option, signals on the physical layer for both mobile and stationary applications can be generated. The R&S FSL-K92 option includes all stationary WiMAX applications. For IEEE 802.16e, or the mobile version of the WiMAX standard, Rohde & Schwarz currently offers an external solution for the R&S FSL.
