Comptel registered an operating profit of 6.1 million euros ($9.1 million) in the first half, 21.7% higher than the 5 million euros ($7.5 million) it posted in the same period a year ago.
As a result of this, operating profit margin increased to 15% from 13% in the first semester.
Net sales grew 5.6% to 40.7 million euros ($60.8 million) in the January-June period, from 38.5 million euros ($57.5 million) last year. According to Comptel, net sales would have expanded by 9.8% if not for the weak US dollar.
In the second quarter alone, the company closed two new core licenses: one in Europe and one in the Americas.
