Croatian WiMAX network rollout planned

Alcatel-Lucent has won a contract from WiMAX Telecom to help that company set up a wireless broadband network in Croatia. The network will be powered by WiMAX 802.16e-2005 Rev-e technology, and will initially be available in the Split and Osijek areas. WiMAX Telecom is a European wireless broadband operator which holds 3.5GHz spectrum licenses in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, and Slovakia.
