Customers still spending on infra, says Ericsson

Ericsson has seen no trend yet for its telecom operator customers to hold back purchases due to the global financial crisis.

A Reuters report quoted Ericsson chairman Michael Treschow saying 'at the moment, even if the world is in this financial crisis, we see no tendencies that our customers are holding back.'

'So far there is no tendency that our sales are faltering,' he said.

Treschow said Ericsson was well equipped to weather the storm in international financial markets, due to its strong capital base.

'This doesn't affect Ericsson because we have no problems in funding our activities and our liquidity is good,' he said.
