Dell'Oro: Worldwide telco capex to decline $6B in 2015

Network investments by telecoms operators worldwide are expected to increase by 3 per cent in 2014, but Dell'Oro believes that multiple factors will contribute to a decline in capex by around $6 billion (€4.7 billion) during 2015. Telecom operators around the world invested heavily in their fibre and LTE networks in the first half of 2014 as the transformation from voice-centric to data-centric drivers continued, according to Dell'Oro. The group estimates that worldwide capex advanced at a mid-single digit rate in the first six months.
